Move forward looking to the hills seeking his kingdom. Be blessed and have a great weekend ! Matthew 6:31-34 English Standard Version (ESV) 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be a...

You’re in Good Company TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “...but Jesus refused to answer.” (Luke 23:9, NLT) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria In scripture, many times people would come against Jesus and criticize Him. Many times it says, “Jesus answered them not a word.” He simply didn’t respond to His critics. He didn’t try to convince them to change their minds. He didn’t get upset because somebody was talking about Him. No, He just ignored it. When people come against you and they’re jealous, trying to make you look bad, trying to discourage you, remember you’re in good company! Jesus was probably criticized more than anyone else. I love the fact that He didn’t try to explain Himself. He didn’t try to make everyone understand Him. He just stayed focused on what He was called to do. He simply ran His race. Friend, Jesus set the example for you a...

Prayer

Prayer is essential : At times it may seem that our prayers go unanswered, don't get dismayed. God hears every prayer. God answers our prayers according to his wisdom. Do not let the absence of an immediate response cause you to stop praying or get discouraged. At that very moment is when we must draw closer to God and continue to pray (P.U.S.H.), pray until something happens. Be Blessed

Trusting God’s Timing TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “My times are in your hands...” (Psalm 31:15, NIV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria In life, oftentimes we are waiting for something; waiting for a dream to come to pass, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to turn around. When things aren’t happening as fast as we would like, it’s easy to get frustrated. But you have to realize that the moment you prayed, God established a set time to bring the promise to pass. God has a set time for your opportunity. There is a set time for that problem to turn around, a set time for your healing, your promotion, your breakthrough. It may be tomorrow, or next week, or five years from now. But when you understand the time has already been set, it takes all the pressure off. You won’t live worried, wondering when this is ever going to happe...

Ignore the Critics TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him.” (Acts 11:2, NIV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria One time Jesus was in the temple. It was on the Sabbath, their day of rest. He saw a man with a withered hand. Jesus simply said, “Stretch forth your hand,” and immediately the man was healed. The religious leaders, the Pharisees, were there and didn’t like Jesus. Even though He did something great, they ridiculed Him for doing it on the Sabbath, the day of rest. Some people, no matter what you do, are not going to be for you. Even if you changed, met all their demands and did everything they asked, they would still find something wrong. I’ve learned that we can all save a l...

Victory is Always on the Way TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ...” (2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Isn’t it wonderful to know that God promises to always lead us into victory? That means no matter what is going on in your life today, no matter what’s happening in the world around you, no matter what anybody says, you should always be thanking God because victory is always on the way! You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to celebrate what God is going to do in your life. Praise is putting action behind your faith. In the middle of adversity or a tough time, start making a list of who you’re going to invite to your victor...

Enter with This TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria As believers, we have the honor and privilege to enter boldly into God’s presence. Scripture says that we can come to His throne of grace and receive His mercy. Because He loves us, He has given us unlimited access to Himself 24 hours a day, seven days a week. But notice that today’s verse tells us that we shouldn’t just come any old way to God. We shouldn’t come empty-handed to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. What can we bring? What do we have that’s worthy of Almighty God? Our praise. Our thanksgiving. Our worship. We are to enter His gates with an offering from our hearts of adoration because He is worthy! We have to understand, praise isn’t just about singing songs on Sunday mornings. Praise is the expression of gratefulness to Father God...

Be Still and Know TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Be still, and know that I am God...” (Psalm 46:10, NIV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria In our culture, most people are used to having constant activity: computers, cell phones, television, email, video games. There’s nothing wrong with any of that, but the Bible tells us that we need to stop and be still so we can focus on knowing God. I’ve found this to be true especially during the difficult times. When you are facing a challenge, it’s easy to want to run to a friend or talk about it with a co-worker. But at some point, you have to stop and say, “God, I rest in You. I know You have me in the palm of Your hand.” Remember, our battles are spiritual battles. The people in your life aren’t the source o...

Through Faith and Patience TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “...imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” (Hebrews 6:12, NIV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria In our culture today, people are used to getting things right away. We’ve been programmed for immediacy. People don’t like to wait. But the scripture says, “It’s through faith and patience that we inherit God’s promises.” Sometimes, it’s easy for people to have faith. We declare, “God, I believe I’m going to accomplish my dreams. God, I believe I’m going to overcome this obstacle.” But, it gets harder when we have to walk in patience. When you pray, can you say, “God, I not only believe for big things, but I trust Your timing. God, I’m not going to get di...

Enter His Rest TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “For we who have believed do enter that rest...” (Hebrews 4:3, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria God promises that there are set times in our future, but He doesn’t tell us when they will be. Your set time may be tomorrow morning at 9:47. You’ll get the phone call you’ve been waiting for. Your set time may be two years from now. You’ll get a good break and that will thrust you to a new level. My question is, “Do you trust God enough to believe that your set times are coming?” Are you willing to wait with a good attitude? Are you willing to get a new perspective? Remember, that set time is already in your future. Don’t let the negative thoughts talk you out of it. The way you know that you’re really believing is that you have rest on the inside. You’re at peace. You know the answer is on the way. You...

Guard your Tongue

"Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it. For the Scriptures say, 'If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.'" (1 Peter 3:9-11 NLT)

In life

Yesterday I received news that literally blew me away.  We all need God's strength to get  through. It so easy to quote scripture and recite the word , but when tragedy hits it is a true test of    your faith.  Losing a love one is a horrible, devasting experience.  When you loved someone so  much that you can feel their very presence after they have passed on is unexplainable. Ronald I loved  you in life and will always love you. Words can not express  and people will never understand the depth  of our friendship/love. It is too deep for them;because it was too deep for us we barely understood it.  Be blessed   1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!

The Gift TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” (Proverbs 27:1, ESV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Do you see every day as a blessed gift from God? Many times when we hear this, we may be tempted to brush it off and say, “Yeah, yeah, I know. Every day is special.” But truly it is! God ordained this day before the foundation of the earth. He has already ordered blessings for you. He has already orchestrated the right opportunities for you. He has already made the right connections for you. On top of that, the air you breathe, the food you eat, and the sunshine on your face are all part of the great blessing that God gives us daily. Remember, we’re not promised tomorrow, so why waste a single moment living life defeated and depressed? Our attitude should not be, “I have to take care o...

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Closer Than You Think TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” (Hebrews 10:35, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Have you been praying and believing for something that seems like it’s taking a lot longer than you thought? Many times, people can miss God’s best simply because they give up before they see their “due season” come. Don’t let that be you! Be encouraged today, your answer is closer than you think. If it seems like things are getting more difficult, remember, when the intensity heats up, that means you are closer to your victory. It always seems darkest just before the dawn arrives. We serve a faithful God, and He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. Don’t cast away your ...
