They may be good people. They may mean well. But the problem is that they aren’t your creator. They didn’t breathe life into you. They didn’t equip you, empower you or anoint you; Almighty God did! If you’re going to be all that God created you to be, you can’t focus on what everybody else thinks. If you change with every criticism, trying to win the favor of others, then you’ll go through life being manipulated and letting people squeeze you into their box. Staying focus can sometimes be difficult. It is important to keep your eyes on your dreams and goals.  Focusing  on your goals and the goals of your loved ones can be demanding  at times you may feel overwhelmed.  Do not let the pressures of life allow you to fall into a state of depression. People tend to suffer from depression in silence, which is very dangerous.   Staying focus requires living a balanced life . While keeping your eyes on the prize is great, do not neglect the other areas of your life. Enjoy your loved ones, enjoy life. Learn who your true friends are and enjoy being around them. Get rid of people who only come to steal your energy. LET GO AND LET GOD! Be your best self at all times, and when you don't feel like driving allow Jesus to take the wheel. Never Disappointed TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “...those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” (Isaiah 49:23, NIV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria What a powerful promise we have from Almighty God! When we put our hope in Him, we will never be disappointed. Of course, that doesn’t mean that things will always go our way. There may be temporary disappointments, but we will never be permanently disappointed. Somewhere down the road, God will cause it to all work out for our good. With God on your side, you will always end in victory! Are you carrying frustration, worry or aggravation about something? That’s usually a clear sign that your hope is in the wrong place. If you hope in circumstances, it will deplete you of joy and peace. You have to recognize which thoughts to ignore, which comments to ignore, and sometimes, which people to ignore. Every “battle” that comes across your path is not a battle that you’re supposed to fight. Many battles are simply distractions to try to lure you off course. If that battle is not between you and your God-given destiny, it’s a battle you should ignore. As summer comes to an end, we must regain focus and prepare for a new academic school semester. It is important that we are at our best.     We as parents need to take these last few weeks of summer to mentally and physically prepare ourselves for what lies ahead.   School time is a busy time in my house hold; keeping up with projects, homework, studying, and extra curricula activities can be a bit overwhelming. This weekend take a minute to mediate on God’s Word, draw closer to him. Take a minute for yourself. Read a book, when is the last time you wrapped your mind around a good novel? Join a book club, go to the movies, go to a concert, get rid of the kids (family) and spend some time home alone doing absolutely nothing,  just relax – free your mind – we only have a few weeks left and once again “the fun begins”.   I am so looking forward to one of my  daughters telling me at 10:00pm they have a project due the next day and they  ...

     Life will sometimes throw you a curve ball, just when all is going well and according to "your" plans , the floor gets moved from under your feet. It is at that point  that we must realize that our plans may not be GOD'S plan for our life. The bible teaches us to seek  first the kingdom of God. In all we do,  we must consult with God.
