Today's Scripture

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Did you know that the ability to forgive others is a gift from God? The Bible tells us that if we don’t forgive others, we cannot be forgiven. If we don’t forgive, we are blocking the ability for God to work in our lives. But when we choose to forgive, we are choosing God’s way and opening the door for Him to heal our hurts and restore our souls. Forgiveness doesn’t mean that what that person did was right or that you even have to get back into a relationship with that person. Forgiveness simply releases the debt they owe you so that God can release the debt you owe Him. Ask the Lord to search your heart and show you if there is any unforgiveness blocking His blessing in your life. Ask Him to show you more about ...

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Heavy With Favor TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Notice that today’s verse doesn’t say that the glory of the Lord is going to come on you one day. It doesn’t say, “Maybe when the economy gets better, when you graduate from college, or when you get that good break.” No, it says God’s glory is already on you! The word “glory” in the original language indicates that God’s favor, blessing and splendor is on you in a heavy way. It’s something that is tangible and has weight. Think about it this way: You are not less than, intimidated or weak; you are heavy with God’s favor. You are dripping with God’s goodness. Your attitude should be, “There’s no telling what’s in my future! I am weighted down, not with burdens, not...

Make Room TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” (Proverbs 13:22, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Notice, God has already laid up contracts, houses, businesses, promotions and good breaks. They already have your name on them. If you’ll keep honoring God and making room for them, then eventually they will find their way into your hands — the hands of the righteous. That means right now something is headed your direction; not bad breaks, not disappointments, not lack, not mediocrity. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are the righteous! Increase is looking for you. Favor is looking for you. G...

Stored Up Blessings TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!” (Psalm 31:19, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Scripture talks about how God has blessings stored up for those that honor Him. Think about that. God has contracts, houses, ideas, good breaks that already have your name on them! They’ve been stored up for you. The question is, how do you see them released? Number one: by honoring God and keeping Him first place. Then number two: by making room for them in your thinking. You’ve got to believe that something big is in your future. You’ve got to declare His promises over your life. You have to see with your eyes of faith what God can do. Today, why don’t you take the limits off God ...

Here is a great article - This is a great weekend read Should the "Christian" Label be Removed from Christian Rap?     The world took Christ out of Christmas, replaced  the cross with the bunny as the symbol of Easter, and now, there's a push to take the "Christian" label off Christian rap, which is a highly effective urban evangelism tool.   But one man is standing up against it. His name is The Ambassador and he's sitting down for a live two-part chat with EEW Magazine President & radio host Dianna Hobbs about a recent article he wrote in response to XXL Magazine's piece called, " New God Flow: Religious MCs Shed Title of 'Christian Rappers' to Attract Mainstream Fans ."       Xist Music's The Ambassador will be live with Hobbs on WUFO 1080's top-rated urban Christian radio show CROSS CULTURE IN HD for a two-part interview set to air Oct. 4 &5 at 6 PM EST.   In his live radi...

Say Continually TODAY’S SCRIPTURE "Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, ‘Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’ ” (Psalm 35:27, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Notice in today’s verse, God’s people were commanded to go around saying continually, “Let God be magnified. He takes pleasure in prospering me.” I believe one reason they were supposed to say it all the time is so it would get down on the inside of their hearts. See, when we hear something long enough, we start to believe it. It starts to affect the way we see things. I wonder what would happen if, all through the day, we decided to stop dwelling on negative, defeated thoughts like, “I’ll never get out of debt. My business will never expand. How can I send my children to college? It’s so expensive.” And, what if you started dwelling on thoughts like, “God takes pleasure in prospering ...

Unlimited Supply TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe...” (Ephesians 1:19, AMP) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria If I had a thousand gallons of water to give you but you only had a one-gallon container, you wouldn’t be able to receive what I had for you. The problem would not be with the supply. It would be with your ability to receive. If you would get rid of the small container and get something larger, I could give you so much more. It’s the same way with God. We might have a tendency to think, “The economy is down. I could never afford that house I really want. My business will never expand. I don’t have the funding. I don’t have the people behind me.” No, you’ve got to get rid of that one-gallon bucket. G...

New Thinking, New Living TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.” (Mark 2:22, NKJV) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Are you ready for increase? Are you ready to go to the next level, spiritually, physically and emotionally? Many times, people hear the truth that God has more in store, and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God; but often times, their natural mind will try to talk them out it. Thoughts will come like, “It’s not going to happen for you. You’re not going to have a great year. You know what the economy is like.” Or, “You’re never going to get well. You saw what the medical report said.” “You’re never going to get married....

Here is another one of my favorite poems, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This poem was written in 1978 its a classic. Marks My husband gives me an A for last night's supper, an incomplete for my ironing, a B plus in bed. My son says I am average, an average mother, but if I put my mind to it I could improve. My daughter believes in Pass/Fail and tells me I pass. Wait 'til they learn I'm dropping out.  Linda Pastan   Have a blessed weekend !

Ok its Thursday, where did the week go? “So much to do so little time”, being a single Mom is a job I would not trade for all tea in china. I love it, and I love tea (smiles).  I know that God will never give me more than I can handle; he knew I was the Woman for the job(and so are you) . Having a great support system helps. I have great help, my mother is awesome. I thank God for her and all her support (it truly takes a village).                 Now if only I had a personal assistant (laughs). I do not know what your struggle is or what you’re going through but God can get you thought it, just believe.   Don’t give up!    I am living proof you can make it through. I am now on the 2 nd half of my life and it feels great! Looking forward not looking back. Let go of old dead relationships /friendships.   Get rid of people who don’t support and build you up, you know the ones wh...

Just Imagine! TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “...and now nothing they have imagined they can do will be impossible for them.” (Genesis 11:6, AMP) TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria How often do you stop and think about what you are thinking about? So often, we live with our minds on autopilot, taking in whatever thoughts come our way. But, if we are going to rise up higher the way God intends, we have to determine to make sure our thoughts line up with God’s thoughts. Seven times in scripture God asks, “What do you see?” God is interested in our vision. Before your dream comes to pass, you have to see yourself accomplishing that dream. You’ve got to get a picture of it. Before you lose the weight, before you break the addiction, you have to see it h...
